24 Manipuri students visit Pune on national integration tour

Pune: A total of 24 students from Thoubal, Manipur visited Pune as part of national integration tour under Operation Sadbhavna/Operation Samaritan from October 9 to 11. The students are from standard 9 and 10 and are from different villages of Thoubal district in Manipur. They were accompanied by a teacher and an Army officer from the Eastern Command.

The students visited the College of Military Engineering (CME), Dapodi, and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Wanawadi on Tuesday and the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla dam on Wednesday.  They also visited Headquarters Southern Command on Thursday, where they interacted with Major General AS Karki, Major General Operational Logistics, Headquarters Southern Command, who apprised them about the role and activities of Southern Command.
